Merry CHRISTmas

If you haven't heard.  Renee entered my Christmas lights into a local radio contest sponsored by an electric repairman.  Top prize is a $1000.

Renee convinced me its more about networking and marketing and we rallied all of our friends, daily pestering on facebook and me getting everyone at work voting everyday.  We ended up winning and have already it the adoption fund!!!  Thanks to everyone who helped vote and spread the word!

We're really excited about Christmas and getting going in our journey.  We have our first home study interview next week.  Finally have all the paperwork in.  Feel like I'm being vetted to get into the FBI or CIA or something, but well worth the process.

For me, its been a huge transition lately.  God has been with us this whole time and we've felt him leading us in the adoption. We've been praying together and with Sean for God to be with us through the adoption process and with any brother or sister for Sean.  Lately though, I've really changed to praying specifically for MY children that are already out there.  It's hard to explain, but its a change to praying for our referral to knowing that my children are waiting for us.  I can't wait to hold them for the first time and hope they somehow know that they're always on my mind.

We want to wish everyone an amazing Christmas with their families!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

May Jesus remain in your minds and hearts!

Welcome!!!

I assume that if you are here you have heard about our big announcement.  We have begun an adoption from the Democratic Republic of Congo.  We are very excited that you want to follow along on this journey with us.  I will try to update as much as possible with posts on where we are in the process and what we are doing too.

Right now we have been gathering paperwork for our home-study.  There is a lot to do and we are hoping that we can finish in the next couple of weeks.
